THE QUESTIONS / THE STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Press release questions.
Clear answers before you book.

What gets published, where it appears, how relevance is assessed, what you approve, and what happens after the campaign. Start with the question on your mind.

What exactly are the 250, 350, or 500+ news outlets?

Each package includes one approved press release distributed for publication across the agreed number of news outlet websites. It is the same announcement syndicated across a network—not 250, 350, or 500+ independently written stories. The final report lists publication URLs. Network-affiliated sites may carry the same release; that does not mean a national newsroom has independently covered or endorsed your business.

How are editorial placements different from news distribution?

News distribution republishes your approved announcement. An editorial placement is a separately written article on an approved publication, built around a relevant topic and your expertise. The Accelerator includes 5 articles and Market Authority includes 15. These are managed, commissioned placements and may be labelled sponsored or contributed. They are not a promise of independently earned journalism.

What types of blogs or publications will feature my business?

The shortlist may include specialist trade publications, business and technology titles, lifestyle sites, or established general-interest publications with an appropriate section. We assess the publication, section, audience, and proposed topic together. A home-services brand and a software business should not receive the same generic shortlist. Exact sites are confirmed in your campaign proposal, not implied by a blanket logo wall.

Understand editorial placements
Will the editorial articles be relevant to my industry?

Relevance is assessed at three levels: the publication’s readership, the section in which the article sits, and the article topic itself. Direct niche matches are preferred. A broader business publication may be suitable if its section and angle genuinely fit your audience. We explain that rationale in the shortlist; unrelated sites are not counted as an approved substitute.

Understand editorial placements
Can I approve the websites and articles before publication?

Yes. You approve the press release and, for editorial packages, the publisher shortlist, topic map, and article drafts. Two consolidated rounds of draft revisions are included. Nothing should be commissioned outside the agreed scope without your approval. If a publisher becomes unavailable, an alternative must be approved before substitution.

Are these paid articles or independent journalist coverage?

The included editorial placements are commissioned or sponsored articles, subject to the publisher’s acceptance and disclosure rules. They should not be presented as independent endorsements. Unsolicited coverage from a journalist is a different service and is not included or guaranteed.

Understand editorial placements
Will every article include a backlink? Will it be dofollow?

An editorial article can include a relevant, contextual link to the agreed page where the publisher permits it. Link destination, count, and attributes are confirmed against the shortlist before commissioning. We do not promise dofollow links or ranking credit. Paid links should use appropriate sponsored or nofollow qualification in line with the publisher’s policies and Google’s guidance.

Do you guarantee domain authority, rankings, traffic, or leads?

No. We agree the publication deliverables, writing, approvals, and reporting. Authority scores, search rankings, traffic, indexation, and enquiries depend on factors outside a distribution campaign. Publication is evidence that a page is live; it is not evidence of a traffic or revenue result.

Can you publish my business on AP News, Yahoo, Digital Journal, or CNBC?

Yes. The offer’s included media and channel mix lists Associated Press, Yahoo, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Digital Journal, MarketWatch, and the other names shown on the included-media section. Your proposal identifies the actual domains and whether a destination is a direct publication, syndicated release, network affiliate, distribution service, or search-discovery channel. These are different placement types, so the report records them accurately. Independent journalist coverage or endorsement is not implied.

Are the news publications all unique outlets?

The scope counts distinct publisher websites, with duplicate URLs on the same website counted once. Some sites may be affiliated or share the same syndicated content. We agree the counting rules and network scope before launch, and report news distribution separately from original editorial articles. The number of unique articles remains one press release plus the editorial article count.

When will my campaign be delivered?

The proposed windows are 7–10 business days for Media Foundation, 14–21 for Authority Accelerator, and 21–30 for Market Authority. Timing begins after the brief, approvals, and any required assets are complete. The written proposal confirms the schedule; sensitive topics, publisher queues, and late approvals can affect it.

What if an agreed publication cannot be delivered?

We identify the missing item rather than counting submissions as live placements. The campaign scope should provide for an approved equivalent replacement or a proportional credit/refund for an undelivered item. The allocation, review window, and remedy are confirmed in writing before purchase. Published work and approved writing already completed are treated separately.

Will my articles stay online permanently?

Third-party publishers control their websites. A publication may change or remove a page, so “permanent forever” is not a claim we make. A 30-day status check is included. Removal and correction requests are handled under the written campaign terms; extended monitoring or replacement protection must be explicitly agreed.

Is Google or Google News indexing guaranteed?

No. A live URL and an indexed URL are different. Search engines decide what to crawl, index, or show. The report records publication evidence separately from any observed search visibility and does not claim Google News inclusion unless independently verified.

What is included in the price? Are there hidden publisher fees?

The package price includes the agreed writing, standard placements within the approved shortlist, coordination, two consolidated draft revision rounds, and reporting. Additional markets, translation, premium named publishers, extra revision rounds, or new scope require a separate quote accepted in advance. There is no automatic retainer or renewal.

Is this a subscription or a one-off campaign?

A one-off campaign. The prices shown are USD $297, $597, and $997. You can commission a further announcement when there is more to say. Any recurring programme would need its own scope and your explicit agreement.

What do you need from us to begin?

Your website, business description, target audience, announcement details, supporting evidence, an authorised spokesperson quote, approved assets, and a factual contact for sign-off. For editorial packages we also need the target pages and topics or exclusions. We do not need your website password.

Can I use an “as seen on” badge after the campaign?

Only if the description is accurate and the publisher’s trademark rules permit the intended use. Syndicated distribution should be described as such; it must not imply an endorsement or an independently reported feature. Your report gives you publication links you can reference accurately. A licensed logo kit is not automatically included.

Do you accept every industry and every announcement?

No. The story must be factual, supportable, lawful, and acceptable to the distribution partners. Regulated topics, financial claims, health claims, gambling, adult content, and other restricted categories require an eligibility check and may be declined. Unsupported superlatives, fabricated quotes, and misleading claims are not published.

What does the final delivery report contain?

The release and article titles, publisher websites, publication type, live URLs, publication or verification dates, delivery status, disclosed sponsorship details, and relevant link attributes where observable. News syndication and editorial placements are separate sections. A sample format is available before you start.

Is it guaranteed to increase my Domain Authority?

No fixed increase is guaranteed. Domain Authority depends on your starting link profile, the links recognised by the measurement provider, and other work on your website. PressLoom does not sell a target authority score or a promised point increase. We agree the publication and content deliverables before your campaign starts.

What does an average or maximum Domain Authority result mean?

An average describes the mean change across a defined group of campaigns. A maximum is the largest observed result for one campaign, rather than the outcome a typical business should expect. An ending score and a points increase are also different: moving from DA 20 to DA 35 is a 15-point increase. Any historical figure should identify the measurement tool, starting score, dates, sample size, and other SEO work completed during that period. No numerical DA outcome is included in these packages.

Are AI citations or Google AI Overview appearances guaranteed?

AI systems choose their own sources, so publication alone does not guarantee an appearance in Google AI Overviews or other AI answers. Any AI-citation assurance offered with Market Authority must specify the platform, eligible queries, timeframe, verification method, and remedy in your written campaign agreement. An appearance can vary by query and change over time.

What do the Google and AI discovery dots mean?

The four-dot scales illustrate the relative visibility tier of each package: one filled dot for Media Foundation, two for Authority Accelerator, and four for Market Authority. They help compare campaign ambition and content depth. They do not represent a number of first-page rankings, a number of AI citations, or a percentage chance of either outcome.

Does publication reach mean that many people will see my business?

An outlet’s overall audience is not the measured readership of your announcement. Audiences can overlap, and only a portion of a publisher’s visitors may see an individual release. Article views, referral visits, and enquiries are separate measurements. Your package includes the stated 250, 350, or 500+ news website publications.

Will a first-page result be for my website or for the published release?

These are different outcomes. A publisher’s release page may appear for your company name or release headline without improving your own website’s rankings for commercial searches. Any observed result should record the query, ranking URL, date, country, and device. This campaign does not promise first-page positions for either page.

How soon will I get more traffic or AI citations?

Delivery timing describes when the agreed publications are expected to go live after approvals. It does not describe when search traffic or AI citations will appear. Crawling, indexing, query relevance, reader interest, and platform choices affect discovery. Referral visits and enquiries should be measured separately from publication delivery.
